Holland's School Tool's for Cool Kids, INC.
Holland Farmer started this journey due to her compassion and drive to help others. This dream to give back to others started as a vision she had when she started competing in beauty pageants in 2021. She formed a platform when she started pageantry called Holland's School Tools for Cool Kids. Initially this dream came to life by raising money from a lemonade stand. All of the money Holland raised was used to buy school supplies to donate to local schools for children who may not have adequate supplies to start the school year. Holland quickly saw there was greater need in the community than what a lemonade stand would cure. Holland then started growing her platform in order to give even more school supplies to local schools and schools in surrounding communities. She created an online link for others to donate outside of her hometown and started speaking at schools, where she would place drop boxes to collect school supplies. Starting in 2024, Holland decided it was time to go even bigger and reach more children and teachers who could use school supplies. Holland has formed her own non-profit corporation and obtained the 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS. Moving forward, Holland plans to use this corporation to expand her outreach to provide underserved children across the United States and to help supply teachers with school supplies to offset their out-of-pocket costs. These teachers and children are our future, and Holland sees the importance in investing in them so that all students may have a successful school year and quality education.

Current Statistics:
About 15% of U.S. children live in poverty, according to 2022 Census Bureau data, leaving many families with school-aged children on a tight budget. In fact, according to a survey by Lending Tree, 33% of shoppers expect to go into debt to pay for back-to-school supplies.
A 2021 National Center for Education Statistics survey of U.S. teachers found that 94% of public school teachers paid for school supplies with their own funds. According to a survey by the nonprofit organization Adoptaclassroom.org, teachers spent an average of $860 of their own money to purchase supplies for their classrooms during the 2022-23 school year.
Every year, some parents struggle to purchase essential school supplies for their children. As a result, children may begin the school year without enough school supplies, which often leaves teachers to fill in the gap.
When you donate school supplies, you help students obtain the tools they need to learn throughout the school year. You can also help relieve some of the stress and financial burdens that have consistently fallen on teachers.
Overall, a lack of school supplies negatively impacts students' access to necessary materials and resources, which can hinder their learning and well-being.
